Dr. Quinby grew up enjoying a variety of sports and outdoor activities. As a result Dr. Quinby took great interest in the mechanics of the human body, and the desire to be an orthopedic surgeon was born. Dr. Quinby is now a board-certified physician in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedics sports medicine. He leverages the most current technologies, ranging from robotic-assisted surgery and computer navigation to ensure consistent, ideal outcomes from minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Quinby sees patients of all ages with issues ranging from joint problems, broken bones, arthritis, etc.
Twenty-six years of orthopedic experience.
It’s a treatment based discipline of medicine. Diagnosis is the easy part. I focus on treating and eliminating the patient’s pain.
I like to treat each patient like they’re my own family or friend. I am frequently asked, “what would you do if it was you?” and I always answer, “I you were my spouse/parent/sibling/child I would recommend…”
I enjoy treating my patients with respect, listening to their problems, reassuring them that I know the cause of their pain, and I know how to make it go away. My standard phrase is, “if this pain is preventing you from doing the things you enjoy doing, and we can do something about that, then I will help you get back to enjoying your life”
We built Quinby Orthopedics with the intention of being a boutique practice to better enable us to give patients more personalized and attentive care than traditional larger medical practices are able to accomplish.
We treat all parts of the body and function as a place where you can receive all your orthopedic care with one doctor.
A smile and a hello that starts when they walk in and continues throughout the entire visit. We treat you with respect. We treat you like family.
Any patient that comes in the clinic the first time using crutches, a walker, or a cane, and after treatment is able to walk out of their last clinic visit without any device and a smile on their face.
I consider Texas my home and with that I enjoy taking care of those that have the same love for the area.
Arthritis
Arthritis is a very painful experience that can significantly limit our ability to engage with the people and world around us. We have seen and treated many different types of arthritis, and we are well positioned to help you live life pain free.
Knee & Shoulder Replacements
As we live our bodies experience wear and tear that can be very painful, and limit our ability to enjoy life. Knee and shoulder replacement surgery can be a scary experience. However, we leverage the latest devices, computer aided technology, and techniques to ensure consistent successful outcomes.
Shoulder & Elbow Issues
We see a variety of patients with injuries to the shoulder and elbow joints. Sports such as volleyball, tennis, and softball are common culprits in causing excessive wear & tear to these joints over time.
ACL Repair
The most common knee injury we see as a result of football, soccer, cheerleading, etc is a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which is a key ligament that helps stabilize your knee. These tears are often the result of a sudden stops or changes in direction.
Fractures
We see an array of fractures, but we see larger volumes of fractures around the ankles, wrists, and forearms. These issues are often a result of contact sports or cheerleading incidents.
Shoulder & Elbow Issues
We see a variety of patients with injuries to the shoulder and elbow joints. Sports such as volleyball and baseball are common culprits when it comes to injuring these areas of the body, and we’re well suited to take care of you.
Arthritis in Teens
Arthritis is not exclusive to older adults. Unfortunately, adolescents and teenagers can experience arthritis as well, and it can significantly restrict their experiences. We aim to help treat and alleviate arthritis in our younger patients so they can fully experience living and growing.
J. Scott Quinby MD. is continually trained on the latest techniques in joint replacement orthopedics, arthritis, and minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, he has the absolute best medical technologies available at his fingertips including robotic assisted surgery and computer aided navigation.
